Discover one of Melbourne’s most remarkable historic gardens at Bishops court, East Melbourne.

Founded in 1848 and still the official residence of the Anglican Archbishop of Melbourne, Bishops court is the last intact urban estate within the City of Melbourne. Its beautiful Gardenesque landscape features sweeping lawns, serpentine paths, productive gardens and an extraordinary collection of significant trees, some dating back to the late 19th century.

For more than 20 years, dedicated volunteers have worked to restore and care for the garden—uncovering original paths, rejuvenating garden beds and protecting its remarkable collection of heritage trees.

Tour Time: 10am - 10:30am

Departing Canterbury Neighbourhood Centre around 9am to travel by train into East Melbourne. Travel details will be confirmed closer to the tour date.
