Course Brief
Yoga class for complete beginners or people wanting to learn more about yoga philosophy, breathwork and meditation as well as physical asana practice.
In this new offering you will be guided slowly through basic yoga asanas (physical postures), learn some breathing techniques (pranayama) to help with relaxation, and experience different forms of meditation in a nurturing, small group environment.
A combination of teacher lead movement with workshop style individual guidance will help you gain confidence and incorporate yoga into your day to day.

Kath English
Kath has evolved her yoga practice over many years, and in 2023 she qualified to teach Yoga with the Australian Yoga Academy. She has since undertaken further qualifications in Yin Yoga, Meditation and Yoga for Menopause.
The joy for Kath is that Yoga is a practice, it isn’t perfect or a competition and therefore its gentle on the body and mind.
Kath is delighted to be teaching the 7pm session of Yoga at Canterbury. Her aim is to provide a safe and fulfilling class that caters to all levels of experience and nurtures the body and mind.
